Ron Paul Slams Obama's "Monstrous Creature," the Super Congress
Congressman Ron Paul is interviewed on CNN by Lou Dobbs about why he voted "NO" to raising the debt ceiling. Ron said the following:
"Mainly because I have never voted for any of the spending essentially over the many years I have been in Congress ... I believed that debt was going to be a real problem many years ago and debt is the problem. So you don't get out of the problem of having too much debt by allowing the Congress to spend a lot more and granting them another $2.4 trillion worth of debt. So it never made any sense to me to do it that way; it just digs a hole much deeper and it gets harder for us to get out. So it was a very easy vote for me, but it became much easier for me when I saw this vehicle they were using to create this 'Super Congress.'"
Paul continues, saying, "I mean, where in the world did that come from and what is that going to lead to? That is monstrous ... I keep looking and looking and I can't find any place in the US Constitution where we have the authority to create such a creature as the Super Congress. ... It is creating committees to do the job and assume the responsibility that Congress should be doing."

He is a academic with no experience who just turned 50 y/o and was never capable of running this country in the first place. He owed his election to people he had to appoint for payback that knew nothing about politics and how government actually functions and we are simply seeing the results of a big clusterxxxx.
The same people who elected him, the "little guy" is paying the price of this bungling mess and he is in a dog and pony show just to get them to show up at the polls for him again.
And if the little guy does vote this time around and re-elects him, they will get what they deserve and they rest of us will just have to wait it out until we get someone in there that has background enough to make mature sound decisions and provide the small business arena with the freedom it needs to move this country forward.
The only problem is the sun may not rise for yet another term.

They simply do not recognise that their Federal Government considers them the Enemy. That this entity has gone ahead and acquired huge tracts of American land (last time I looked it was 47%) and controls the rest through draconian regulations issued by the Executive Branch (also mentioned in this video) may worry a few but the vast majority sail on seemingly oblivious to the hijacking of their posterity. This all began I believe back in 1871. It took a big step forward with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913/1914 and the revolution was all but completed by FDR in the 1930s.
Obama in my view wants to put the finishing touches on it and to make America a totalitarian dictatorship with a fig leaf cosmetic democratic veneer. What I would like to know is if the vote on the debt ceiling was as the New York Times indicated a vote to DISAPPROVE the bill. In other words if the member wanted to OPPOSE the bill as Ron Paul did then they would have to vote YES. This would also mean that in the unlikely event that the bill passed with a majority YES vote in both the House and the Senate then the President could exercise his veto and the Congress would have to overcome it with a two thirds majority. To me this is just as important as the Super Congress since it also transfers lawmaking power to the Executive Branch and is indeed the final straw to remove all such power from the Congress.
I assume that because this invasion, because that is what it is, has taken place relatively slowly over many years and any dramatic moves have had the cover of economic or wartime distress, most Americans have assumed that their country still belongs to them. They can still sing the "Star Spangled Banner" hand on heart and heart in mouth and celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave. Their children can still swear allegiance to The Flag every day and the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all. But it is all an illusion and the most tragic thing about it is that even today most of them do not or will not believe it.
They are traitors each and every one of them, especially the Dear Leaders of the parties.
The American economy has been a grand illusion of all times.
A bubble economy since the 1970's. And now we are waiting for the Mother of all Bubbbles to pop: the dollar!
