Straight From Oz: Real Reason Elites Intend to Legalize Some Drugs?

By Staff Report
31

Australia foreign minister calls for decriminalisation of low-level drug use ... Bob Carr, Australia's foreign minister, whose brother died after a heroin overdose, has urged the decriminalisation of low-level drug use, after a report concluded the war on the scourge was lost ... "A bit of modest decriminalisation, de facto decriminalisation at the edges, simply freeing up police to be doing the things they ought to be doing, would be a sensible way of going about it," Mr Carr told the Seven Network. He added to fellow broadcaster ABC that by doing so "we wouldn't have armies of police patrolling outside nightclubs and pubs hoping to snatch someone who's got an ecstasy tablet in his or her pocket or purse". – UK Telegraph

Dominant Social Theme: This drug war hasn't worked. Time to be more reasonable about it.

Free-Market Analysis: Last week we thought we detected a trend: The top elites via politicians and the mainstream media in the US were embarked on creating some sort of dominant social theme aimed at legalizing some drugs.

At the time we didn't understand why this promotion would be launched, given that the elites have shown no compunction about putting people in jail for years for doing something as innocent as smoking a marijuana cigarette.

We received interesting and insightful feedbacks to our questions about this seeming emergent elite meme, but as is so often the case, a little more time seems to be revealing what may be the truth of the matter. You can see the initial article here: Have Elites Decided to Legalize Some US Drugs?

The US has jailed tens of millions in the past decade over drug infractions. But now we seem to be seeing some re-thinking ... First Pat Robertson writes about legalizing marijuana and then CNN's Fareed Zakaria writes about it as well. And that's not all.

A random search of Google shows that a bill to legalize medical marijuana is moving forward in the Tennessee House and that the Rhode Island Senate is discussing legalization as well. In Yakima, Washington, a former Seattle police chief and a former state senator will hold a public forum on the legalization of marijuana.

Now, in this article excerpted above, we think that the purpose of this theme, if that's what it is, is beginning to emerge. Australian foreign minister Bob Carr may have given the game away by referring to, "A bit of modest decriminalisation, de facto decriminalisation at the edges, simply freeing up police to be doing the things they ought to be doing... "

What Carr is saying is that the "authorities" are stretched. The system, he is indicating, has other priorities that are not being addressed because of the "war on drugs."

What might those priorities be? We can only speculate, but as the Western world tends to move in lockstep when it comes to such things (given that nation-states are pretty much an illusion at this point), we would tend to think that a decision has been made to point the resources of Leviathan at the emergent freedom movement that is roiling the Western world.

We've long predicted this moment, of course, writing over and over that the Internet is a kind of Gutenberg Press and that the same sort of society-transforming trends are taking place now as did back then.

Then, from what we can tell, the elites started a number of wars, including a so-called Peasant War that lasted about 30 years. War is a great way to control the masses because all the rules of civil society can be thrown out based on "security considerations." That's what is happening today, as then.

There are many other parallels between the circumstances surrounding the Gutenberg Press and today's Internet. We've often mentioned them in these pages. Copyright was invented in Britain after the advent of the press in order to slow the transmission of information – and now today, again, copyright is being used, this time as a weapon against the Internet.

The elites are neither imaginative nor facile. They tend to select repetitious stratagems from a sparse and brutal tool kit. They are not disappointing now. Brutality is increasingly the order of the day. Wars, depression, torture and general intimidation via Draconian laws and regulation are the order of the day.

People are perpetually and increasingly astonished at what's going on. Just the other day, CNN leftist Rachel Maddow appeared on-air with a rant against the Supreme Court for determining one could be strip-searched at the discretion of US law enforcement no matter the reason.

Maddow laid the blame on a "conservative" Supreme Court but, in fact, the stale right-left paradigm has no relevance to what's going on. The emergent fascist state throughout the West has all the hallmarks of a deliberate policy.

Of course, Maddow would have to admit that there are dynastic families based out of the City of London that want to run the world and are willing to create a kind of generalized Western Third Reich to do so.

The power elite that wants to rule the world has been destabilizing the US for several centuries – really ever since it came together as a libertarian republic. It took the Civil War to really set in motion the trends that have blossomed today, including a massive military-industrial complex, an intel-industrial complex and a penal-industrial complex.

Australia has all the signal hallmarks of an emergent fascist state including a feverish green lobby, incandescently dishonest politics, an emergent carbon tax, etc. But we have to think that the "stick" of this decriminalization is aimed at the US.

The emergent authoritarian TSA has just ordered 400 million hollow-point bullets and the US is building a trans-national spy facility out in Utah at a cost of billions. The elites have always hated and feared US exceptionalism and its general republican orientation.

Under former President George W. Bush, the US also built numerous detention facilities across the US, giving the contract to Dick Cheney's Halliburton. While there is a large intimidation/propaganda factor to all of this, the elites are probably dead serious about a transfer of resources away from petty drug matters in order to focus on social unrest, "domestic security" and "the war on terror."

Does the real reason for the War on Drugs stand revealed? Was it really intended simply to build a kind of trans-national gulag that can now be employed for the security purposes of the elite? Did people really waste away their lives in prison simply to provide a pretext for the construction of a blossoming Security State?

Conclusion: Having created and staffed this monstrosity, are the top elites now prepared to put it to "better" use. Think about the "great debates" of prohibition that have raged for the past century, the billions of words and books and white papers that have been written. Was it really nothing but an excuse? And if so, how they must have laughed ...

I'm a pharmacist In Australia and I work in the pharmaceutical industry dispensing prescription medication to retail customers. I also administer a Government sponsored OPIOID Replacement programme for Opioid addicted patients.

It is with great interest that I read The Daily Bell and other material to keep up with the obvious and relentless trend to Globalism controlled by the power elite.

After reading your article, Straight From Oz: Real Reason Elites Intend to Legalize Some Drugs? It comes as absolutely NO SURPRISE that a political mouthpiece ( Bob Carr, Minister for 'Global' Foreign affairs ) for the power elite would come out and proclaim the 'failure of the war on drugs' and propose the 'LEGALISATION' of recreational drugs.

The current claimed failed 'war on drugs' involves total cost and expense on the part of the government to 'supposedly' enforce restriction of illicit drug use. The only people currently 'making money' out of drugs are the street gangs and feudal drug lords, Yes the banks do make some money out of laundering the vast amounts of 'cash' that is generated out of this uncontrolled and unregulated cottage industry.

The power elite have realised that there is vastly more money to be made from owning and controlling that 'ILLEGAL' drug industry, especially if the licences are handed out to your already rich compliant globalist mates.

Remember the elite 'Legalise' anything that they can control and profit from, even if it is immoral and destructive to society. The opium wars in China comes to mind, the legalisation of Alcohol, or the Gambling Industry, or even UN sanctioned war in Libya or Iraq and soon Syria and IRAN.

Especially so, when that industry becomes a global multinational profit making leviathan that also lends itself to massive escalation of Government population control through random drug testing, and patient tracking.
The evolution of the global 'alcohol industry' or the 'Gambling Industry' are preeminent case studies, Since their 'legalisation' after the 'failed' prohibition years, they have grown into global industries owned by multinational companies and rich dynastic families, quite able and willing to make large 'donations' to political campaign funds.

The formula is simple, declare the drug 'LEGAL', allow big global business a monopolistic 'licence' at an absolutely massive fee, (aka Radio and TV and Internet licences) and ongoing compliance taxes to fund and an ever growing vote winning bureaucracy to administer and enforce. Any small 'Illegal' back yard cottage industry producers (the current drug gangs) are locked up in jail and quickly taken out of competition.

The Government makes money by taxes on the 'Drug' itself, licences for users to register, income tax on workers, and company taxes etc, all of which is currently NOT being taxed, because the 'Drug ' industry is a 'CASH Economy'
The Banks and rich elite, make money by bankrolling the growth and development of the New Legal drug industry.

The very interesting question is, Will this New Drug industry be set up using the current existing Pharmaceutical Industry of Pharmaceutical manufactures, Doctors to prescribe and control usage, and pharmacists to distribute and administer to the general public? The Pharmaceutical Industry is an industry currently tightly controlled and regulated by government, BUT an industry seemingly very much 'out of favour' with the global elite.

OR will this new Drug industry be given to the global elite that already own the Alcohol or Gambling Industry to be distributed through night clubs, casinos, and coffee shops ?

It certainly WILL NOT BE ALOWED to continue to evolve via current local drug lords, bikie gangs and distributed to the public via back yard drug gangs. This method produces local violent feudal drug lords, serious social disruption and is uncontrolled and unprofitable and ultimately destabilising, to government, and global elite alike.

After seeing a Utah exempt licensed prison bus used by Management and Training Center (MTC), a detention center located in Orterro County, New Mexico, and operated by private contractors hired by ICE rolling down I10 as I was crossing New Mexico I would have to say its feeder locations for this Utah prison are probably located in more places than Utah itself. Thank you for this informative piece you have written. I felt the evil the bus emanated as I was driving in the left lane and passed it, but when they pulled into the gas station and two guards got off dressed in flack jackets I really knew there was evil afoot in America. "Why", I wondered, "was a Utah licensed prison bus with NTC, Orterro County, New Mexico, on this highway? What is its purpose?" And now I know.

"is establishment medicine an injurious scam?"

Yes, it focusses on "band aids", creating, escalating and milking problems and NOT root causes of problems. This is what happens when you allow "problem solvers" a monopoly position: They realize that "solved problems" EQUALS their unemployment.

Which is why MIC will NEVER "solve war". They realize it is a "no winner game" and, the only way THEY can "win" is to keep playing the "game", sacrificing pawns (us) and profiting from the conflict that they themselve create.

Virtually ALL of mankind's woes hinge on organized predators forcefully suppressing justice, just to tax our efforts to extricate ourselves from THEIR predations. In their subjective opinion / perspective, defending yourself from THEIR frauds and aggressions is a criminal act.

Justice Defined: We are all free to profit or suffer and learn (adapt to excellence) by facing the consequences of our OWN choices. Injustice is to be forced to suffer the consequences of choices of unaccountable (irresponsible) others.

Since they will not learn and adapt, we must AGAIN teach THEM a lesson that, hopefully, THEY will NEVER FORGET AGAIN: Crime does NOT pay, independent of who sits in the bench. The piper must always be paid.

Bobby 'liar liar pants on fire' Carr is a very interesting story. He was the state political party leader and state Premier (same as a State Governor in the US) in NSW, Australia for about 12 years. He speaks very confidently and has a bit of a 'golden voice'. Some people think he's a genius and are convinced he did wonderful things for the state. However 90 of what he did was 'announce' projects which never actually came about. It took about 8 years for the voting populace to catch on to this, he was about to get booted out like he thoroughly deserved, and the main opposition party had the election in the bag, but then their leader had an inexplicable personal meltdown which left the election win to liar Bobby Carr again. He lasted only until the next election and he was out. By then any person with a working brain hated him.

Collected his lifetime parliamentary pension of course, and went straight to a $500K p.a. 'consulting' job with Australia's largest investment bank, Macquarie Group. Then suddenly after several years with the bank and no doubt jaunting around domestically and internationally with his taxpayer-funded 'Gold Pass' (free international and domestic first class flights for him and his family), taxpayer funded office/secretary/driver/etc, without warning he has popped up in the federal version of the same party he was leader of, as Foreign Minister and having to forgoe his ex-Premier's pention while he's in that role. How very very peculiar.

A family member was asked if she would like to work in Oz setting up a super computer being built deep beneath Canberra in the early 80's.
People were recurited from commonwealth countries around the world.
She visited us a couple of times during her 4 years working there and told of a super computer system some 4-5 stories undeground.
She still lives in Oz on a small govt pension and has nothing to say about her time in canberra.
How much of this web page is true or just hearsay I'll let you decide.

We would hope this was not rue but sure would make for a great movie. Just at a time, hemp was being used for clothing, paper , rope and many other uses, Rayon came along and it appeared the corporate world saw more profit in rayon and hence the campaign against marijuana. Since marijuana stays in the system so long, it is exceedingly easy for a workplace to randomly test workers for marijuana consumption.

The profits to be made in taxes from legal medical sales may best explain the sudden changes. The DEA of course stands to lose power and influence and hence so long as it can get away with thwarting the states it will do so. If there are mass demonstrations, there will still not be enough detention camps to house the millions. However given the precarious economic conditions, it is prudent to have some form of control. We have all seen the damage created by angry mobs.

The simplest explanation is often the best one and here the simplest explanation is that the war on drugs has gone somewhat like the prohibition era. So long as demand is high, someone will produce and traffic.

No law against drugs--No: need for police, judges, lawyers, file clerks, jailers, purcasing agents for food, clothes, medical needs, doctors, squad cars, gasoline contracts, dogs, dog food, vets, kennels, trainers, leashes, muzzles, psychiatrists plus the bureaucrats, bureaucrat supervisors, bureaucrat department managers, district managers, regional coordinators, bureau chiefs, special disposal crews, trash pick-up, evidence lock-up, inspectors, fair employment practices commission, public affairs mouth-piece, district affairs, defendent council, district attorney, assistant district attornies, prosecutors, investigators, local precincts, front desk officers, steno-clerks, secretaries for each of the above departments and precinct captains, office janitors, backup temps for the above where appropriate, auditors, supervisor of auditors, manager of auditors, auditor general, budget committee, budget chairman, finance officers, finance chairman, etc. etc. I could keep going. Where do you think their jobs would be without laws against drugs, prostitution. These are victimless "crimes".

I am a forensic engineer and there is a law of common sense, "If you can not stop it, manage it". That is why there is oil on friction surfaces, gutters on roof eaves, air fans on engines for cooling, paint on bridges slowing rust, umbrellas for sun and rain, insulation around a house and ceiling controlling flow of energy, rules of impeachment of presidents for misfeasance and malfeasance, this does not mean the president will not, it just means we try to avoid an abomination like controlling a prostitute by requiring a license of inspection to prevent the diseased "one" from harming the public in general before the diseased "one" comes up for reinspection, not every four years but 4 weeks. The "one" cripples a nation while the other cripples a neighborhood. That is how you control disaster from happening.

A lot of politicians keep their jobs only to protect their source of money/power. The more sources of regulation their is the more enforcement is necessary, thus, more bureacracy. The perfect storm--The Elected "one", The Law, The Bureacracy. That is America and why we are broke. Lucrative instincts are regulated so that only organized crime or other (monoply) will prosper. This includes certain drugs, prostitution, prohibition (now gone but regulated as important tax revenue), drugs of organized crime (Certain) and drugs of organized Pharma (certain to not cure you), The Bureacracy of voters keeps growing to maintain the bought a paid for system. Whether it is orginized crime... .outside the law or orginized labor of bureacracy of the law to organized political parties making the law the only victim is the fourth party, the outsider, the working public getting stiffed. That is why we are the Working Stiffs.

DB: "point the resources of Leviathan at the emergent freedom movement that is roiling the Western world."

The "freedom" (from predators) movement has our slavers in a pincer grip, between a rock and a hard place:

rock: cannot get blood from a stone, pointless to be productive when "fruits of labor" stolen, slavers losing their cut (resource intake).

hard place: people are covertly and overtly defying authority, consuming more "enforcement" resources as our slavers attempt to "quell dissent"

So, THEY spin it as: "free drug war resources for more important matters"

In reality, perhaps the freedom to "smoke a joint" is being achieved and, once this issue no longer has to be fought, OUR resources (and corpus's) are also freed up, to fight on "other fronts".

No matter how you slice it, our slavers are in a negative sum game and, CANNOT win, only kill a lot of us, which may be THEIR point:
