Who he is: Thomas DiLorenzo is a professor of economics at Loyola University-Maryland's Sellinger School of Business and Management. He is a senior fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute and an associated scholar of the Abbeville Institute. DiLorenzo is a frequent contributor to LewRockwell.com and Independent.org.
DiLorenzo has authored ten books on such topics as group-interest politics, antitrust and interventionism, including Organized Crime: The Unvarnished Truth About Government, Hamilton's Curse: How Jefferson's Arch Enemy Betrayed the American Revolution and How Capitalism Saved America () and has co-authored six books with James Bennett, including Official Lies: How Washington Misleads Us, Destroying America: How Government Funds Partisan Politics and Cancer Scam.
DiLorenzo's scholarly historical revisionism has resulted in two books about the US President Abraham Lincoln, Lincoln Unmasked and The Real Lincoln, which were the subject of an interview with him by the program "C-SPAN Q&A" in 2008, as well as multiple speaking engagements and articles about such topics as the New Deal and Southern secession.
