Upcoming Food Scarcity – Promotion or Reality?
UN warns on food security as prices hit six-month high ... Food prices around the world jumped by 1.4pc in September to a six-month high, the United Nations said, as the severe US drought cut grain harvests. Rabobank thinks the consumer impact could be less painful this time around compared to 2008, when there were severe shortages of wheat and rice. That is because today's shortages are being seen more in crops used as animal feed, such as corn and soybeans. None the less, analysts expect concerns over food security to remain at the fore, given the long-term upwards trend in commodity prices and the risks posed by the volatile global climate. – UK Telegraph
Dominant social theme: Scarcity abounds ...
Free-market Analysis: The volatile global climate? It's enough to make someone believe in weather control via HAARP!
That's how elite scarcity memes work, after all. Say the power elite wants to create a perception of energy scarcity ... We've written about this in the past.
Libertarian Truths and the Big Lie of Peak Oil ... Now Confirmed?
America's New Production and the Farce of Peak Oil
First, Tavistock or some other elite promotional think tank comes up with a dominant social theme like Peak Oil. Then those involved with the promotion set about making it into a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy.
In the case of Peak Oil, they do so by declaring much of the world off-limits to oil exploration and by turning areas where there is obvious oil into war zones. (The Middle East comes to mind.)
But do we see the same process at work when it comes to elite scarcity promotions concerning air, food and water? Possibly so. Here's something from the entry on HAARP in Wikipedia:
High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defense Advanced
Built by BAE Advanced Technologies (BAEAT), its purpose is to analyze the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing ionospheric enhancement technology for radio communications and surveillance. The HAARP program operates a major sub-arctic facility, named the HAARP Research Station, on an Air Force–owned site near Gakona, Alaska.
The most prominent instrument at the HAARP Station is the Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a high-power radio frequency transmitter facility operating in the high frequency (HF) band. The IRI is used to temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere. Other instruments, such as a VHF and a UHF radar, a fluxgate magnetometer, a digisonde, and an induction magnetometer, are used to study the physical processes that occur in the excited region.
Work on the HAARP Station began in 1993. The current working IRI was completed in 2007, and its prime contractor was BAE Systems Advanced Technologies. As of 2008, HAARP had incurred around $250 million in tax-funded construction and operating costs.
HAARP has been blamed by conspiracy theorists for a range of events, including numerous natural disasters. Various scientists have commented that HAARP is an attractive target for conspiracy theorists because according to computer scientist David Naiditch, "its purpose seems deeply mysterious to the scientifically uninformed".
Now, how much of this do you understand, dear reader? What leaps out at us is that the Alaskan facility cost US$250 million and that DARPA is involved.
In other words, HAARP is a military project. And then there is this, from the UN, a treaty: "Convention on the prohibition of military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques."
You can see the text here: http://treaties.un.org/.
Why does the UN need a treaty against weather warfare if technology to create or manipulate weather, earthquakes, etc. doesn't exist?
Senator Claiborne Pell (D-R.I.) believed that the Pentagon had manipulated weather during the Vietnam War. He wrote about his suspicions in an editorial entitled, "United States and Other World Powers Should Outlaw Tampering With Weather for Use as War Weapon." It appeared in The Providence Journal-Bulletin in 1975, excerpted as follows:
The U.S. and other world powers should sign a treaty to outlaw the tampering with weather as an instrument of war. It may seem farfetched to think of using weather as a weapon − but I'm convinced that the U.S. did, in fact, use rainmaking techniques as a weapon of war in Southeast Asia.
We need a treaty now to prevent such actions − before the military leaders of the world start directing storms, manipulating climates, and inducing earthquakes against their enemies. The basic idea of environmental warfare is simple − if a nation can learn to trigger natural events it can inflict terrible damage on an enemy through rainfall, flooding, tidal waves, earthquakes, and even climate changes that could devastate an enemy nation's agriculture.
The UN treaty referred to above came into force three years after Pell wrote his editorial, with 32 signatory countries. The Wikipedia article refers to those who think weather warfare is possible as "conspiracy theorists." Count Senator Pell among them, along with the signatories to the UN Treaty.
Count Jesse Ventura a believer, as well. Here's a review by Sterling D. Allan in "Pure Energy Systems News" (Dec. 27, 2009) of an episode of Jesse Ventura's "Conspiracy Theory" television show ...
In his series, movie star, professional wrestler, former Navy SEAL and former Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura and his team take on HAARP, the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program.
The official story of what the giga-watt broadcasting antennae array outside Gakona, Alaska is [is] that it is for scientific research, primarily for communication studies: "a premier facility for the study of ionospheric physics and radio science," according to their official website.
"Why all the secrecy, then?" asks Ventura. And "Why is the Army running the place?" The facility barred him from having access, even though he is a former governor and Navy SEAL.
The evidence that Ventura and his team uncover points to the facility actually being a weapon, with the ability to take down aircraft, manipulate weather (which is supposed to be illegal) and control your mind. The segment illustrated both the weather control and the mind control capabilities using much lower-power variations.
Matt Imber asks and [sic] interesting question. "Where are they getting all the energy to run that place?" Noting that there are no apparent over-land transmission lines, he wonders if maybe they don't have some kind of zero point energy or other exotic sequestered technology providing power.
One of the people in the show mentioned being involved in setting up some kind of coal power component. Was that what they told the workers to hide another method? The aerial views shown on Ventura's show don't show any smoke stacks putting out smoke or steam.
What do we make of all this? ... Well, there does seem to be evidence that the US military (and other countries, too) have the ability to influence weather – though how far that capability goes is obviously up for debate.
We also know that food, water and energy scarcities are a big part of elite propaganda. The dominant social themes are intended to frighten people into giving up power and wealth to pre-fabricated globalist enterprises such as the UN, IMF, World Bank, etc.
We want to take time to mention right here that food scarcity is a horrible reality in many developing countries. This article is focused on speculation that food shortages could be coming to so-called First World countries, and that these quasi-famines could be deliberately implemented ...
Far-fetched? We monitor the mainstream media for this sort of chatter and when it comes to these areas there is no doubt the mainstream is quite focused on sending a message of alarm and scarcity. Over and over these days we hear that farmland is the best investment in the world and that the world's fresh-water aquifers are being drained.
Elite promotions, as noted above, tend to be rolled out thematically, but usually those behind them attempt to buttress them by making reality seem to conform.
After a point, from an investment standpoint, the reality ceases to matter. If those who want to promote scarcity have a way of creating it, then reality and promotional meme merge. This is why elite promotions can be extraordinarily profitable and why recognizing them and participating in them financially can add to your wallet.
On the other hand, what we call the Internet Reformation has exposed elite paradigms and punctured elite scarcity promotions. Global warming, for instance, has been dealt a near mortal blow. Those who invested thus far in various global warming corporate and business spin-offs have not necessarily fared well.
In the 20th century, one could invest relatively fearlessly if one understood an elite meme and could figure out how to "play it." But in the 21st century such investments are neither clear-cut nor guaranteed.
Conclusion: It could be that farmland is indeed a most promising investment and that weather is in some way being manipulated to support this perception. And yet, the Internet over time might expose the food scarcity meme as an elaborate elite charade in line with the false presentations of Peak Oil and global warming. Time will tell ...

I wonder if HAARP can affect blood similar to the way low oxygen levels can?:

"The results of these experiments have led us to infer that the nervous system acts as an 'antenna,' which is tuned to and responds to the electromagnetic fields produced by the hearts of other individuals." so it would seem 'other' electromagnetic fields would have an effect too no doubt.
Also, @ dave jr, I'm a big fan of Mercola. I'm guessing you're implying the heart attacks and such are due to poor diet. Possibly, however; the thing I was noticing was the timing. Those with health problems may just be more susceptible?
A few times I've driven around my town and there's a large number of automobile accidents about and the weather is not a factor. That's not common in my city. On those days, it seems to me, the majority of People I encounter are irritated or agitated. ... Maybe it's nothing or due to nature, but it seems odd.
"Heart coherence and social coherence may also act to mutually reinforce each other." - and just the opposite too. What a weapon or tool of control that would be if remote manipulation is possible.

I need to post a correction. I mistakenly referred to Hans Birkeland. The name is Kristian Birkeland whom I confused with Hannes Alfven. Alfven is also a very important researcher concerning everything magnetic and cosmological.

@ clark. Re; heart attacks. If you're talking about myocardial infarction, you might find this article very informative.

Reportedly, the heart has a huge magnetic signature. Terra has a magnetic pulse of 7.8 Hertz, if I remember correctly. I suspect that the fauna here has a definite connection to this pulse. After all, our blood is full of iron. The brain runs on about 20 watts of power. That is quite a bit considering.

All that artificial electricity and magnetism zapping around may have a big effect. You should read the work of Antione Priore.

@ clark, have you looked at the Bosnian pyramid? Interesting claims made for it.
"The team's findings also reveal an energy beam, 13 feet in radius that transmits an unexplainable electromagnetic signal measuring 28 kilohertz coming from the center of the Pyramid of the Sun. This phenomenon has been independently confirmed by physicist Dr. Slobodan Mizdrak, Ph.D. from Croatia, professor Paolo Debertolis, anthropologist from University of Trieste in Italy, sound engineer Heikki Savolainen from Finland and electrical engineer Goran Marjanovic from Serbia."

One last thing, after reading some of those links, it seems possible that whatever it is 'they' are doing, it's causing a lot of People to have heart attacks and related blood problems.
Does HAARP congeal blood and cause blood clots?
Lately, too many People around me have suffered heart attacks or die after a heavy blast of chemtrails covers the area... (I've 'felt' it too) I could be wrong of course, but it appears like there is a connection, or many connections. Too many connections.
I should probably just ignore the science of it all though and just 'move along', right?

Food production is greatly affected by plasma flows. Lightning is just charge-equalization between the ionosphere and the planet. The plasma flows are increasing as we move closer to alignment with galactic center. Along with CMEs from Sol, we are hit by energy showers from Magnetars. They all seem to be close to the galactic plane.

NASA says that plasma flows will increase towards 2013.
The Mayan prophecy is just a way to mention the changes brought on by increased plasma flows.

Wow Dan!
No difference of "opinion" here. What is plasma? EM currents/radiation in a gas, charged particles, lightning? EM induces temperature, induces pressure in a gas/atmosphere?
What was the point?
Posted by Danny B on 10/07/12 11:19 AM
I find almost all opinions about weather and weather modification to be from people who have next-to-nothing in scientific training. Even those supposedly trained in meteorology are next to hopeless. Here are some background areas that you can study that will entitle you to have an opinion that has at least some scientific basis.
Read Jennifer Lawson. She was one of the first to correlate plasma flows to terrestrial weather.
Read Piers Corbyn. He is currently the guru on long-range weather forecasting using plasma flows related to planetary position.
Read "Electric Universe" This body of work shows powerful proofs that the universe is regulated by plasma flows and not by gravity.
Read the work of Hans Birkeland showing that the planets in our system are connected to the sun by very powerful plasma flows.
NASA refers to this as heliophysics.

Lots of people are investigating space weather.
In a general sense all weather is related to temperature and;
"Atmospheric layers are characterized by variations in temperature resulting primarily from the absorption of solar radiation"
OK, so weather is regulated by temperature,,,, temperature is regulated by plasma and particle flows from the sun. Where Lawson and Corbyn have departed from run-of-the-mill forecasters is that they chart interplanetary and intersolar plasma flows. NASA is starting to catch on to this idea.
Just imagine that you were standing on the sun in March of 1989. There was a huge coronal mass ejection... maybe a couple of hundred thousand miles across. It shot out at about 70--80 of the speed of light. From 93 million miles away it managed to hit precisely in Eastern Canada.
Canada is the tiniest speck from that distance. The CME punched through our magnetosphere and whacked Canada. The grid held on for 2.1 seconds.
With the modeling of the electric universe, scientists have come to the tentative conclusion that the plasma storm conducted along the already existing Birekeland currents. We already know that our weather is tied to the solar cycle. Investigators are slowly connecting "plasma flows" to weather. It remains to be seen just how much of our weather is regulated by the light spectrum and how much is regulated by plasma.
As far as limitations on the energy available for man to affect his enviornment, you have to do a good read about zero point energy. This is what Feynman had to say; "Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman and one of Einstein.s protigis, John Wheeler, calculated that there is more than enough energy in the volume of a coffee cup to evaporate all the worlds. oceans"
Tesla's early work was all about tapping into plasma flows;
"The earth receives about 8,640,000 lightning strikes every day. The average power of a lightning strike is 1.21 gigawatts.
America uses 10,663,013,700 kilowatt hours a day.
A gigawatt is 1 billion watts.
Use is 10,663,013,700,000 WATTS
Supply is 10.4 million, billion watts
The plasma flows from the sun that create this power also charge up the aurora Borealis.
The ionosphere is where this charge is held. This plasma is also what creates the earth's magnetic field.
The charged particles are part of the solar wind. They are brought here by Birkeland currents.
There isn't ANY question as to whether or not the ionosphere is charged. Tesla figured out how to access that charge. He built the huge Wardenclyffe tower.

ZPE is an entirely different animal. I'm tired of typing.

" What is more, the ionosphere is far above the layers of atmosphere involved in weather formation,... "
The ionosphere is part of the atmosperic layers and is 60 to 300 km above earths surface Click to view link
The jet stream can reach as high as 100 km Click to view link
Also the energy required to "steer" massive energy systems does not have to be so large. Consider an analogy where an ocean faring fuel tanker represents a natural energy packed system, and a man capable of "steering" it with his pinky.
By no means am I claiming weather modification is real, but as in so many other topics, I prefer to keep an open mind.

Cloud seeding is a long way from the kind of "weather control" claimed or hinted at by HAARP alarmists. Cloud seeding is a fact and has existed for decades, but is of very limited applicability - basically, conditions have to be just right for precipitation, only needing something to trigger nucleation.
That something is silver iodide crystals dropped from aircraft into cloud formations, or by rockets. It's not so much a way of modifying weather patterns as a means of hastening a result. It is physically possible for it to have been used in Southeast Asia because conditions would have favored it, but it is hard to imagine any military advantage arising from such use. We're talking about the Tropics, where heavy rain is a fact of life and all operations - military and civilian - take it into account. What harm could a triggered rainfall do? Would anybody even notice?
Any actual directed modification of weather patterns involved controlled energy inputs orders of magnitude beyond any means available to generate them, so that is strictly sci-fi and superstition for the time being. The potential usefulness of HAARP lies precisely in the fact that it can create local, temporary changes in the ionosphere which, if the apparatus could be packaged in a small space, could be used either to disrupt an adversary's ionospheric scatter communications or to favor ours.
That is feasible only because the changes required for that purpose are small, temporary and local. What is more, the ionosphere is far above the layers of atmosphere involved in weather formation, so even a very big HAARP would make no difference at ground level unless you happened to be operating a shortwave set.

I hope I won't sound too much like a "conspiracy theorist" hehehe, but I'll tell you this:
Every "cell" phone tower or big radio mast is also used as for weather manipulation. Every big EMF tower anywhere.
One can see for oneself, just look over any cell phone tower, there is a good change you will notice a ripple wave pattern expanding from the clouds rigth over the tower to the other clouds around. It's no just the big array in Alaska, it's EVERYWHERE!
As for the methods for countering this, well, you will have to keep your mund open heheheh see the link:

Don't say that I'm always off-topic (: I found a good link on food production.
Apparently, it's temporarily held hostage to congressional inaction.
It has to do with removal of subsidies.
"Because reverting to permanent law would re-introduce a radically different farm program, one with much higher support prices (through nonrecourse loans instead of payments) that would require much smaller crop production and much higher consumer prices. "

"Nothing wrong with making a profit, David."
I agree. But "profit" is making gain in what one does. Everyone should do what profits them.
I tend to say things without fully explaining my thought. When I say "we all lose", I am referring to the FRN, which should die a natural death. And I believe that won't happen until we become a little more self sufficient.
I didn't mean to rattle anyones cage, even though, it was pointed out to me that I seem to be good at it.

I'm sorry I don't have links, I don't remember the source, so this is only food for thought.
I recall the technology was invested in to take advantage of the huge natural gas fields in northern North America. It wasn't practible to pipe the gas or push generated electricity by wire to the population centers, so the posibilty of beaming electromagnetic energy, later by satellite relay was the goal. It was discovered that electromagnetic beams of energy interacted with the ionosphere. That is when the military took over.
Beamed energy causes a locality in the ionosphere to heat up and expand. The upper portion of this expansion forms a lens, so to speak, and is usefull in directing communication signals. The lower portion, it was found caused high pressure areas in the upper atmosphere which would effect the jet stream. Since the beam was "steerable" with the phased array antenna, the jet stream was "steerable", and so could effect weather patterns in a given region.
I also find it interesting that UPS chooses Alaska as it's main worldwide air shipment hub, because it is near the center of the worlds population. Is HAARP interested in being in the center of the worlds population too?

"It could be that farmland is indeed a most promising investment... "
"Investing" in farm land? For what, profit? To gain more FRNs?
There are those who would purchase a few acres to practice a degree of self reliance, to experiment in food production and storage, drawing clean water, heating a home, etc. Whether full blown or as a sideline hobby, it is an investment in self and family, and maybe some peace of mind.
Then there are those who would purchase for profit. To beat others to the punch, which helps to drive up price. THAT is a losing proposition because even in winning more FRNs, we all lose.
