Will Chinese and Western Elites Bring Down the World?
As this is apparently "Henry Makow Saturday" (see other article, this issue), I'm going to take the opportunity to comment on an article carried on the Makow website some five days ago entitled "Colonial Elite Rules China for the Illuminati." Written by St. John Bartholomew, the article is interesting whether or not one believes in every aspect of it.
Here at the Daily Bell we've speculated on a regular basis as to whether China's leaders were power elite "insiders" or whether they were native eruptions of Asian totalitarianism. The mainstream media, of course, treats China more and more as an enemy. This suits the Anglosphere power elites that derive additional power and authoritarian justification from creating opponents of the West.
These are actually elite dominant social themes, designed to frighten middle classes into giving up power and wealth to globalist institutions. Knowing this, we finally decided that it was fairly ridiculous to think that the top Chinese leadership existed in some kind of power elite vacuum.
In fact, the Western power elite is a kind of ubiquitous franchise at this point, and has been for close to two centuries. The Anglosphere, in fact, controlled China during Queen Victoria's era – at the height of the Empire – and drugged millions with opium.
Is it realistic to think that the British grip relaxed over time? It is said that the British Commonwealth is a mere formality these days. But a friend of mine insists that top leaders still drop their voices when they mention the term. "They are afraid," he claims.
They are "afraid," then, of the Queen and those who surround her, the great banking families of the City of London. The empire is commonly held to have been dissolved. Winston Churchill participated in this charade. He spent the latter half of his long life bemoaning the greatness that was gone.
At this point I have a hard time believing it. The same Churchill who apparently said, "History will be kind to me for I intend to write it," was a consummate actor and bully-boy for the elite. He played his part, courageously or not, for London's top banking elites. To believe otherwise at this point is somewhat naïve.
It would also be naïve to believe that the Chinese leadership, having been formed and transformed by Western elites, would have no high-level relationships to it now. That's why this article is believable, or one reason anyway. Here's some more from it:
The Chinese people would revolt against overt foreign domination, but embrace their place in the NWO if they believed they were in control ... the Chinese elite is a merger between the Communist leadership, Hong Kong tycoons, and the criminal Triads. All three factions derive derive their power from Illuminati collaboration. China has appeared autonomous because the Illuminati developed the country internally, funding 'revolutionary' political parties spouting nationalist slogans.
Lord Bertrand Russell revealed this plan in a report on China published in 1920: 'Out of the renaissance spirit now existing in China, it is possible, if foreign nations can be prevented from wreaking havoc, to develop a new civilization better than any that the world has yet known.' The fascist superpower we know today was created in the second half of the 20th century by the bogus Cold War dialectic of communism vs. capitalism.
The stage was set in 1898 when Britain and China signed a contract stipulating that Hong Kong would be handed back to the Chinese in 1997. This meant that the fierce Communism of the mainland and laissez faire capitalism of Hong Kong were always destined to merge. The process of unification gave rise to the current China power elite. What follows is background of the three main factions.
The three elements of leadership, according to the article, are the communist leadership, including Mao who was supposedly a "Soviet agent," the Hong Kong Tycoons (later entrants) and the criminal Triads.
The Hong Kong Tycoons represent Western economic know-how and the Triads provide the muscle that has allowed the Tycoons to thrive within the larger regional environment of the ChiCom-leveling enterprise.
This is slightly different than what we've envisioned, in that we believed that the great Chinese leader-families were indigenous to Mainland China, but it makes a lot of sense. The great Asian families fled to Hong Kong, allied themselves with the Triads and gradually regrouped and took control.
What gained them entrance was ChiCom mismanagement, in my view. The ChiComs ended up with credit for the Great Leap Forward that starved 50 million Chinese as well as for the repression of Tiananmen Square. The only way for the ChiComs to regroup was to implement some form of market capitalism, and this they've done. But that's ending as well, I would think.
The ChiComs have blasted their economy into orbit with central banking super money and the monetary stimulation they've implemented has turned China into a kind of skyscraper graveyard. At this rate there'll be one full building for every man, woman and child in China, with more on the way. Maybe a train per person, too.
The article ends by noting that the mainstream media "portrays China as hostile to Western power." It adds that "by studying the triumvirate Chinese elite and their intimate ties to the Illuminati, it is clear that modern China is an Illuminati creation."
I disagree with this latter formulation, as it's never clear to me why those who write for Makow inevitably adopt the Illuminati paradigm. There is evidently and obviously a kind of criminal conspiracy to rule the world being run out of London, Washington DC and Tel Aviv, among other places. It's really not necessary to confuse the issue, in my view, by adding in complicating factors about the "Illuminati," Freemasonry, etc.
The last sentence reads, "The Chinese elite must never stray from the NWO agenda, for it follows that if the Illuminati made them, they can break them too." For clarity's sake, I would rephrase the statement to read, "The Western power elite that made them can break them, too."
I would also add that understanding China's role within the larger realm of Anglosphere directed history is very important. The Western rulers of this gloomy globe know full well that China's economy is bound to implode sooner or later.
If the top Chinese are actually in league with Western powers that be, we should begin to see a kind of coordinated take-down of the world's economy. In fact, absent China (arguably), this is well on its way. One can argue as to whether it is a purposeful collapse or not but for me the arguing is done.
Once the Chinese economy collapses – and inevitably it must sooner or later – the elites may wish to take the next step toward building a fully integrated global government. This may well include a one-world currency, central bank and political and military structure.
I think China may be key to this because in order to implement such an ambitious structure, the globe's misery level is going to have to be considerably heightened. A Chinese economic collapse would certainly aid the cause. If, in fact, the top Chinese are working in league with top Western banking families, this sort of scenario becomes considerably less far-fetched.

"The empire is commonly held to have been dissolved. Winston Churchill participated in this charade. He spent the latter half of his long life bemoaning the greatness that was gone."
The role (and memory) of Churchill is rather interesting and fascinating.
It is true, on the surface he was a leading figure in British power and politics for most of half a century. During this half century Britain went from the most prosperous nation of middle class wealth to one of second-world status (and eventually bankrupt). This downfall can be directly attributed to many of Churchill's policies (both military and economic). Yet he is lionized by the people, it appears, and remembered fondly in western history.
Many decisions (both military and economic) made by Churchill and others of Britain's political class do not seem rational if viewed from the self-interest of Britain - meaning the self-interest of British sovereignty, the British people, the British middle-class.
Why this discrepancy - the man in power during the length of the demise is held in such regard? If the power and stature of Britain mattered to those really in charge (the royal family, for goodness sakes), wouldn't Churchill be tarred-and-feathered (in a legacy-manner-of-speaking)?
My only conclusion is that there were different objectives in mind as regards Churchill's decisions, and for making and implementing such decisions Churchill was properly rewarded.
As Mr. Wile suggests, Churchill was not doing the work of the British people or the British middle class. He was doing the bidding of a different interest group, and that interest group paid handsomely - both during Churchill's life and in his legacy. Payment does not come only in the form of pounds.

Are (or is) the Triads a listed terrorist organization? Sounds like sort of a nebulous organization despite their "roots." Or just street thugs like Crips and Bloods, but with a longer history?
All of last week some guy I had never heard of before is paraded around all over the country as China's next new leader (president). Turns out he has extensive experience with the U.S.A., having lived and worked here on "exchange programs." CIA and State Dept. always seem to have their hands deep into these.
His daughter is a current student at Harvard. Would it surprise me that he has attended Bilderberger meetings? No. But I don't know for sure. Their guest list is very long and inclusive these days.
All of this is to say that the new great leader appears pre-anointed and very much in the thick of the Anglosphere. You could also say that he's China's version of the "out-of-nowhere" Obama. Connecting just these few dots gives even more credence to the Makow article.

To extend this Churchill dialogue slightly further... (plus to offer a diversion for the elves from the reptitive, banal comments on today's other article):
Imagine a king of England, long time past, in a time before such complete manipulation from above (I assume this time existed, if not bear with me for my story).
The king's chancellor is reporting one disaster after another, costing the king treasury, land, and wealth.
Would we not see said chancellor drawn and quartered? (At least I have seen the movie version of this more than once).
When the wealth of the nation (as foundation for the wealth of the king) mattered, such a fate would likely have awaited Churchill. That it didn't await him after Gallipoli, or the failure of his re-implementation of the gold standard, or many decisions leading up to and during the second war adds to the notion that he was doing the bidding of a higher voice (or the voice he was bowing to was concerned about something other than the fate of Britain proper).

Throw in his co-conspirators, FDR and Uncle Joe, and we understand why the people of the world have not prospered much since the end of WWII and government, and those who run them, have made out like bandits...

I do think that a mere prosaic power elite analysis is rather too much 19th century. Men crave spiritual connection to something despite the death of a living God. Mammonry is one such connection; Zionism another; Anglo-Sphere Christianity yet another; and also out of the 19th century comes our interest in ritual magic and lodges and the great occult upheaval. So men do associate with one another and it is not solely for secular or commercial reasons that they come together. However, this is simply a long way of saying occcult lodges exist and do influence policy.
What is interesting to me is that no one seems to think about vital and important role secret groups played in 18th and 19th and 20th century history. The money came from some groups to help other groups. The American revolution arose from Masonic lodges. Napoleon is called the Emporer of the Masons. And in Russia also we see lodges and in Germany, all through the West. Garabaldi unifed Italy with money. The Mexican Revolution like the Latin American one of Boliviar involved Masonic lodges.
China is a different story. Sun Yat Sen was allied with Triads. Mao was educated by Yale-in-China. Secret sects have been a part of Chinese history for millenia.
The notion of one world government is distinctly a theocratic notion and for the West it sarted with Constantine the Great.

To anyone Really interested in China I highly recommend two books: UNDERSTANDING CHINA by John Starr and SUPERFUSION: HOW CHINA & AMERICA BECAME ONE ECONOMY by Zachary Karabell.
This article touches on some truths but completely misses the mark in other areas.

(sorry DB, I cleaned up the offending remark - Hoover's not mine)
You are quite correct, of course.
I am just starting to read a book: "Freedom Betrayed" by Herbert Hoover... .
Yes, when I first heard of this book I had the same reaction. What could I possible gain by reading a book about lost freedom from a man on the inside? Does Hoover even know the meaning of the term?
But it actually seems like a great source for revisionist history as relates to US foreign policy in the period leading up to and through WWII.
Hoover, speaking to a colleague about the possibility of writing a book on the mistakes of statesmen: "... I am going to tell you what should be the first chapter... .When Roosevelt put America in to help Russia as Hitler invaded Russia in June, 1941. We should have let those two bast***s annihilate themselves."
In fact, it seemed the easiest answer for the west in WWII was to let Russia and the Germans do each other in. That this easy answer wasn't chosen says something about the motivations behind Churchill and Roosevelt.
In some recent reading I have done, I have learned that Roosevelt changed his posture toward Japan in the summer of 1941 (from relatively benign to extremely provocative), coincident with Hitler's invasion of Russia. It is speculated that Roosevelt did this specifically to ensure Japan would not join Hitler against Russia, but instead would spend its military against the US in the Pacific.
We know the rest of that story.

Greece's Model Mayor: Reform Hero Takes on Corruption in Thessaloniki
European Union officials have nothing but praise for the mayor of the Greek city of Thessaloniki. Yiannis Boutaris has been pushing ahead with far-reaching reforms to undo the abuses of his predecessors and has already slashed the city's spending by 30 percent. He's even asking the Germans for advice.
[..]
The budget deficit, which normally doubled every year, shrank for the first time -- by 7.5 percent.
The mayor's opponents in the city council attacked him for his trip to Germany, while the Athens daily newspaper Kathimerini questioned his sanity for soliciting advice from the Germans, of all people.
But Boutaris also intends to ask officials in other countries how they dispose of their garbage and manage their ports. No one can repair or improve a broken system, he says. "It has to be discarded, and something else has to take its place," says Boutaris.

Most interesting: the Lee family, China-Hongkong-Singapore. A Jewish friend almost thought that I, with my knowledge about international affairs, was already an Alzheimer patient, not being able to grasp that Lee is derived from Levy(penetrating in the 7th Century, the Ming Dynasty). Iran's president a Jew, the 'House of Saud' Jewish - OK, but this was new to me!

Does it ever occur to you that diffrent people share the same interests, develop independently, and then meet to share problems in those experiences when they arise? Or are all such meetings conspiracies?
Frankly, I think you insult many people with your thesis and show a complete misreading of history.
The facts are that different peoples, living on the oceans' rims, set out to see what was over the horizon. As they spread their areas of exploration, they came in contact with each other and discovered they had tales to tell one another of experience, things found, peoples met as their success grew. They also learned to work with one another at points of contact. This experience is what made all the international trade associations and alliances in history. They had something in common and it was unique and required constant attention. Further, dealing with a myriad of values, monies, they had to formulate systems for trade balances, exchange values as they met more and more and produced more and more worldwide.
These are the historical facts that you call conspiracies, using the word in a pejorative sense, always with the intimation that it was all for control of this populace or that... even you now.
Frankly, you are all like couch bound footballers, with little experience on the field, screaming out against the real players on the screen before you!
You should all take a year out, buy a sailboat and join the Commodores of the Seven Seas (a group of 25,000 plus doing the voyage every year)and visit at least a hundred ports, deal in what you must have to buy supplies, find things that may help pay for the investment in the voyage and continue on your way. I guarantee some of the nonsense you spew here will be modified when you get back, if you get back. So many give up because they cannot hack it!
The men, and women, who built the whole concept of international trade, have to co-operate to keep it going and that means staffing and provisoning the ships and setting up and manning ports, providing warehouses, transport on
land, assuring some safety for "foreign visitors" and funding international currency exchanges to allow so many different nations, their peoples to participate in this gigantic enterprise. That they have done a spectacular job is evident in every emporium in the world today!
You will never understand what has occurred until you get out of your desk chair and take part in this fantastic endeavor. You must savor the thrills, and the fears, that all who take part in his worldwide trade have, to even begin to fathom what it is and what keeps it going! It is not conspiracy as you portray it but it is co-operation to maintain it, improve it.

Our "elves," are actually widely traveled and widely read. We do not believe we are misreading history and in fact regularly receive compliments regarding our historical and investment analysis. While those who work in international industry perform great services, the world's monetary system is not so great. It is in fact falling apart, and we write about this unfortunate fact every day. We have an enthusiastic and growing audience, our articles are reposted throughout the 'Net and, yes, what you call co-operation may indeed involve conspiracy as well. We have not been afraid to analyze it and will continue to do so.

The southeastern and main division of the Chinese empire. The subject of the Jews in China is here treated in two sections: I. Their history; II. Their religious customs, etc.
I. History:
Whether China was known to Biblical writers is a matter of dispute among scholars. The majority of Bible commentators identify it with ("the land of the Sinim"), whence the deported sons of Israel shall return to their land (Isa. xlix. 12); others, however, deny the identification. At any rate, the Jews in Persia from early times were connected with the silktrade, and, as a consequence, entered into direct relations with the "silkmen" ("Seres," from "ser" = = "sericum" = "silk"), as the Chinese were called by the Romans.
(For the identification see commentaries of Gesenius, Delitzsch, Hitzig, Cheyne, and Orelli; also Kautzsch, in Riehm's "Handwörterbuch der Biblischen Alterthümer," s.v. "Sinim"; Von Strauss-Torney, in Delitzsch's "Isaiah," P. 712; Lassen, "Indische Alterthumskunde," 1867, i. 1028; further, Dillmann, Duhm, and Marti, in their commentaries; Könlg, in Hauck's "Real-Encyc." s.v. "Sinim"; and Von Richthofen, "China," i. 436; for the "Seres," see Silk; Kohler, "The Jews and Commerce," in "The Menorah," 1887, p. 211; Heyd, "Gesch. des Levantehandels," i. 12, notes 1, 24; compare Mommsen, "Römische Gesch." v. 346, 465-470; Herzfeld, "Handelsgesch. der Juden," pp. 110, 308).
Chinese Name for Jews.
First Jewish Settlement.
At what time, however, the first Jewish settlement in China took place it is difficult to say. In all likelihood Jewish merchants immigrated, or changed a temporary sojourn into a permanent one, at various epochs. In an "Account Written by Two Mohammedan Travelers through India and China" in 851 (Renaudot, transl., London, 1733, p. 42), it is stated that "the Jews have been settled in that empire [China] from time immemorial." Notwithstanding this, it is as hazardous to connect the first Jewish settlement in China with the Lost Ten Tribes ("Jew. Quart. Rev." xiii. 23) as it is an unwarranted skepticism to doubt the correctness of the tradition of the Chinese Jews themselves, which traces the first immigration back to the Han dynasty between 206 B.C. and 221 C.E. (Möllendorf, in "Monatsschrift," 1895, p. 329), and more exactly to the time of the emperor Ming-ti. This opinion is based upon the oral tradition of the Jews, reported by Father Brotier: "These Jews say that they entered China under the Han dynasty during the reign of Han Ming-ti [58-76 C.E.]." And further: "Several of these Jews have assured me that they arrived during the reign of Ming-ti" (Tobar, "Inscrip. Juives de Kai-Fung-Fu," p. 90). A certain Sulaiman (Jewish traveler of the ninth century) similarly claims that they entered in 65 C.E. Grätz (iv. 376) places the first immigration in the year 231 C.E., connecting it with the persecution of Jews in Persia, which caused also their first settlement in India; furthermore, the Jews of K'ai-Fung-Foo themselves claim that they received their religion from India (compare Finn, "The Orphan Colony of Jews in China," p. 40; but see passages cited below); but there is nothing to support this hypothetical date, or the statement of Glover in the "Babylonian and Oriental Record," vi. 247, 288; vii. 149, that the Jews were not in China before the fifth century. On the other hand there are many reasons for the assumption of an earlier date.
Jews Known as "Tiao Kiu Kiaou."
The Chinese everywhere call the Jews "Tiao Kiu Kiaou" (the sect which extracts the sinews, after Gen. xxxii. 33); and this name itself, as a characterization of the Jews, indicates great antiquity. Rabbinical Judaism would have suggested more distinctive peculiarities of the Jews to the Chinese.

The truth about the Chinese being a part of the global NWO will become readily apparent when the Pan Asian Gold Exchange (PAGE) finally opens for business in the next few months. If true price discovery for gold (and silver) occurs after over 40 years of CentalBankster manipulation, it should put that meme to rest.

Good article. I agree, it has seemed pretty clear that if the Western elites had wanted to take Mao out, they could have done so early on, has had been their standard policy regarding rising charismatic leaders in the East who were not under their control.
I also agree - we can pretty much leave 'the Illuminati' etc. out of the analysis. Maybe, maybe not, but does it really matter?
The Illumaniti, Freemasonry, 'It's the Jews' - these are tempting red herrings that 'catch'/fascinate and side-track people and lead to quibbling and loss of 'thrust', unity, and focus among the dissidents.
'Skyscraper graveyard' - nice phrase. Funny. Empty mall skateboard park, too. Or are the peasants allowed to skateboard, in China?

Mr. Wile:
This is an excellent, well-constructed commentary. However, given the central nature of Jews and Judaism to a "conspiracy" theory with their prominent role in the City of London, the US and Tel Aviv, how does one explain the continuance of their power during and AFTER WWII? Did the Rothschilds actually finance one side or both during WWII, despite it meaning the deaths of 6 million of their own people? Why would they support the creation of the theocratic state of Israel if such complicity in the deaths of their own people were true? I am at a loss to explain the "Jewish conspiracy", though history would dictate that Jews have had a disproportionate effect on world affairs.
I, for one, view the Jews and all other people of religious persuasions, as primitive, ignorant and morally corrupt. Their kind--Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc.--will eventually be selected against by the glorious justice of evolution. As evolution relentlessly marches forward, those humans left behind will embody the true perfection for which science and technology strive.
