Death Star Operational: The Deep State Pivot to Combatting ‘Domestic Terror’ Is Complete

The War of Terror chickens have come home to roost, as it were.

For anyone willing to listen to history’s lessons, such is the nature of empires: their rapacious tactics abroad are always ultimately imported to contain the domestic population. As a consequence, internal conflict inevitably arises, and due to that and other factors the project collapses from within under its own inertia. Then the barbaric hordes storm the gate.

“Today’s empires, tomorrow’s ashes.”

In that vein, the Brandon entity’s handlers took the opportunity presented by the anniversary of 9/11 not to expose the government’s culpability in the attacks and plea for forgiveness but, rather, the moment was taken to complete the rhetorical reorientation of the national security state away from its original purported target — foreign terrorism of the Islamic variety — toward something called “domestic terrorism,” sometimes interchangeably termed White Supremacy™ or any number of other amorphous terms.

The government and its lapdogs in corporate state media were firing in synchronicity on all cylinders this September 11^th to cement the new current thing in the minds of its hopelessly credulous slaves.

In a trainwreck of a speech in which escaped nursing home resident and nominal Commander-in-Chief Joseph Brandon yelled various platitudes and lies – such as that he was at Ground Zero the day after the 9/11 attacks when he was not — into the microphone, the most pivotal part of which was the barely-veiled threat issued to “domestic terrorists”:

“Today, our intelligence community has recently assessed… that [the] al-Quaeda threat from Afghanistan and Pakistan has reached a historic low…

Terrorism, including political and ideological violence, is the opposite of all we stand for as a nation that settles our difference [sic] peacefully under rule of law…

We’re going to continue to track [the] terrorist threat in all forms wherever it may be…

We defend with our hearts… our democracy.

Today, we can look across the country and around the world and see rising anger and fear…

A rising tide of hatred and extremism… It’s more important than ever that we come together around the principle of American democracy regardless of our political backgrounds. We must not succumb to the poisonous politics of difference and vision. We must never allow ourselves to be pulled apart by petty, manufactured grievances.”

Numerous Democrat Party operatives have not only likened January 6^th to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor but, in fact, have gone further to claim that the election protest was worse than those events that killed thousands of Americans.

The logical implication, obviously, of creating a false analogy between 9/11 and January 6^th is that the latter requires a response similar to the former: siege warfare against the alleged perpetrators, new surveillance authorities granted to unaccountable federal agencies, etc. The whole nine yards.

Here is Deep State-sponsored tool and founder of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America and Righteous Media, Paul Rieckhoff, on MSNBC earlier this year advocating for exactly that:

“A lot of Americans are up for grabs. I wouldn’t dismiss it as just something only people on the right or watching Fox News latch on to. We are in a battle for hearts and minds and there [are] people [who] are on the fence.

You got to have leaders and messages and messengers and programs to get to those people that bring them over into community organizing and into non-profit organizations and away from the Patriot Front and Oathkeepers.

I think the parallels of 9/11 are important. We talked about this before. After 9/11, the laws didn’t work. They made massive changes to respond to a new threat. I think we have to face the fact that many structures, laws and policies may not work. After 9/11 we created the Department of Homeland Security, there was the PATRIOT Act. There was massive change in our entire society to face the number one threat, or at least what was communicated as the number one threat.

We need the same kind of tectonic shift.”

And so, on 9/11, what better day for MSNBC to complete the construction of its Deep State Death Star laser pointed squarely at the “domestic terrorists,” the metaphorical inhabitants of Alderaan.

Here’s DHS capo Alejandro Mayorkas describing how the “threats to the homeland have evolved” in the intervening 22 years since September 11, 2001 to include “disinformation,” “climate change,” and, of course, the king daddy: “domestic violent extremism.”

“The threats to the homeland have evolved significantly over the past twenty years… Twenty years ago, twenty-two years ago, we were not thinking about the threat of cybersecurity… the threat of adverse nation-states spreading disinformation and trying to sow discord in the United States was not something at top of mind. The frequency and gravity of extreme weather events. Our Department of Homeland Security… [has] grown so significantly in our partnerships and capabilities…

The threat of the domestic violent extremist is the most prominent terrorism-related threat that we face in the homeland now. And partnership is the only thing that can conquer that. And your message of unity resonates on a day like this so profoundly.”

What, pray tell, comprises this faction of “domestic violent extremism” in the United States? Allow retired CIA spook and current MSNBC talking head to explain: “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”
